Hey, I’m Ross Norton (he/him). I work as a Creative Director for kids content and marketing in NYC.

It’s been a joy to work in the kids content industry. My work and talent spans many different parts of what goes into great content.

  • My bread and butter. All of my projects featured showcase my talent in directing animation.

    I’ve overseen full animation productions in series, short form, interactive games, and marketing campaigns with 3D and 2D from concept to compositing. My work includes existing TV show assets and characters made completely new.

    I love animation, particularly character driven work that can make you laugh.

  • My design approach has always been with a focus on storytelling and how it can tell you everything with just a look.

  • It’s been a privilege to have managed so many fantastic creatives over my career.

    All in-house projects I have directed on, I’ve sourced the team I managed. As an animation director it meant sourcing for storyboard artists and animators. As creative director it meant the entire animation pipeline including design and cg artists.

    It takes a village to make great content. I will always work hard to make sure my projects have creative ambition, inclusive conversations, an eye for budget, a bit of humor, and the top of the charts.

  • It can be so thrilling to build a completely new character. With Big Heart Album it was all about creating relatable kids that were fun to be around.

    With The Noggins ABC / 123 we wanted to simultaneously make all of our character new and exciting while also streamline production budget and timeline.

  • New show launches, rebranding properties, and summer campaigns are just some of what I’ve directed animation and production on.

    I’ve managed a spectrum of requests, but always with the same creative intent. The best possible work with clear messaging, catchy visuals, and a project delivered under budget.

  • It has been a delight to direct shoots with such wonderful creatives. With my substantial experience in post and animation I’m able to ensure the shoot aligns clearly with our post production goals. With enough planning and foresight I can always keep the shoot on-time and stress free.

    With all of our IP character interactions, my role as the connective thread between the shoot and post has been absolutely integral when working with kids on set.
